The VSAN Knife Edge Gate Valve is a heavy-duty isolation valve specifically designed for handling slurries, viscous fluids, abrasive media, powders, bulk solids, and process liquids in demanding industrial applications. Engineered with a sharp-edged gate (blade), the valve is capable of cutting through thick, fibrous, and solid-laden media, ensuring reliable shut-off even under severe operating conditions.

Unlike conventional gate valves, the VSAN Knife Edge Gate Valve features a precision-machined stainless steel blade that moves vertically through the valve body to open or close the flow path. The sharpened gate is specially designed to cut through suspended solids, sludge, pulp, and semi-solid materials, preventing clogging and ensuring smooth operation. This makes the valve an ideal solution for applications where standard valves may fail due to media buildup or blockage.

Manufactured using premium-quality materials such as Cast Iron (CI), Ductile Iron (DI), Carbon Steel (WCB), Stainless Steel (SS304, SS316, SS316L), Duplex Stainless Steel, and other corrosion-resistant alloys, the valve is built to withstand harsh industrial environments. Various seat materials, including EPDM, NBR, PTFE, Viton, Polyurethane, and Metal Seats, are available to suit different process conditions and media compatibility.

The VSAN Knife Edge Gate Valve is available in Wafer Type, Lug Type, Flanged Type, Bi-Directional, Uni-Directional, and Through-Conduit Designs. It can be operated manually using a handwheel, chain wheel, bevel gear, or automatically using Pneumatic Cylinder Actuators, Electric Actuators, Hydraulic Actuators, and Electro-Pneumatic Control Systems, making it suitable for both manual and automated process control.

Designed in accordance with international standards such as MSS SP-81, ASME B16.5, BS EN 1092-1, API 598, and ISO 5211, the VSAN Knife Edge Gate Valve provides dependable sealing performance, low maintenance, and long service life. It is available in pressure ratings including PN10, PN16, ANSI Class 150, and higher ratings depending on application requirements.

The valve supports optional accessories such as limit switches, proximity sensors, position indicators, solenoid valves, electro-pneumatic positioners, and smart valve controllers, enabling seamless integration with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and Industrial Automation Systems.
