The VSAN Automatic Self-Cleaning Strainer operates on the principle of continuous mechanical filtration with an automatic cleaning mechanism. During normal operation, the process liquid flows through the stainless steel filter screen, where suspended solids and debris are retained while clean fluid passes through the outlet.
As contaminants accumulate on the screen, the differential pressure across the filter gradually increases. Once the preset differential pressure or programmed cleaning interval is reached, the automatic cleaning system is activated. A rotating cleaning mechanism or suction scanner removes the accumulated debris from the screen surface while a drain valve simultaneously discharges the collected contaminants from the strainer body.
The cleaning cycle is completed without interrupting the process flow, ensuring continuous filtration and reliable protection of downstream equipment. After cleaning, the strainer automatically returns to normal filtration mode, providing uninterrupted operation with minimal maintenance.
