The VSAN Tee Strainer is a compact and efficient pipeline filtration device designed to remove solid particles, rust, scale, welding slag, and other unwanted contaminants from liquid, gas, and steam pipelines. Featuring a Tee-shaped body construction, the strainer provides effective filtration while maintaining smooth fluid flow and protecting downstream equipment from damage caused by foreign particles.
The Tee Strainer is specifically designed for applications where installation space is limited and easy access to the filter element is required. Its simple construction allows quick removal and cleaning of the filter screen, reducing maintenance time and minimizing operational costs. The robust body design provides excellent mechanical strength and long service life even under demanding industrial operating conditions.
Manufactured from premium-quality Cast Iron, Cast Steel, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel (SS304, SS316, SS316L), Duplex Stainless Steel, and other special alloys, the VSAN Tee Strainer is suitable for handling water, steam, compressed air, oils, chemicals, fuels, solvents, and various industrial process fluids. The removable stainless steel perforated screen or wire mesh element ensures reliable filtration with minimal pressure loss.
The VSAN Tee Strainer is available with Flanged, Threaded, Socket Weld, and Butt Weld end connections in accordance with ANSI, ASME, DIN, BS, API, and IS standards. It is offered in pressure ratings from PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, ANSI Class 150, 300, and 600 to meet a wide range of industrial requirements.
Designed for dependable performance, low maintenance, and effective equipment protection, the VSAN Tee Strainer is widely used in Water Treatment Plants, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Petrochemical Industries, Power Plants, Pharmaceutical Industries, Food & Beverage Processing, Marine Applications, HVAC Systems, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, and various industrial utility services.
The VSAN Tee Strainer operates on the principle of mechanical filtration. As the process fluid enters the Tee-shaped strainer body, it passes through a removable stainless steel filter screen positioned inside the strainer chamber. Solid particles larger than the screen openings are trapped within the filter element, while the filtered fluid flows freely through the outlet.
As contaminants accumulate inside the screen, the pressure drop across the strainer gradually increases, indicating the need for cleaning. The cover or end cap is removed, allowing the filter screen to be easily extracted, cleaned, and reinstalled without difficulty. This simple filtration process effectively protects downstream equipment, reduces maintenance costs, and improves the overall reliability of the piping system.
