The VSAN Pull Cord Switch without Indicator is a robust emergency stop safety switch designed to provide immediate shutdown of conveyor belts and material handling systems during emergency situations. It enables operators to stop the conveyor instantly by pulling a wire rope installed along the conveyor length, ensuring maximum safety for personnel and equipment.
The switch is commonly installed on both sides of conveyor belts, allowing emergency access from any location along the conveyor. Upon pulling the rope, the internal mechanism activates and sends an emergency stop signal to the conveyor control system, preventing accidents, equipment damage, and material spillage.
Unlike the indicator model, this version does not include a visual position indicator, making it an economical solution for applications where external indication is not required. It retains the same rugged construction, reliable performance, and positive latching mechanism as the indicator version.
Manufactured with a heavy-duty die-cast aluminium enclosure, the VSAN Pull Cord Switch without Indicator is designed to withstand dust, moisture, vibration, corrosion, and harsh industrial environments. The VSAN Pull Cord Switch without Indicator operates on the Manual Rope Pull Emergency Stop Principle.
A steel wire rope is connected to the operating lever of the switch and routed along the conveyor.
When the rope is pulled from any point during an emergency, the operating lever rotates and activates the internal microswitch contacts. The generated signal is transmitted to the control system, which immediately stops the conveyor and connected machinery.
The switch remains mechanically latched until it is manually reset after the emergency has been resolved, ensuring safe restart procedures.
