The Miniature Float Level Switch operates using the magnetic float and reed switch principle, providing a simple yet highly effective method of liquid level detection. A lightweight float containing a permanent magnet moves with the liquid level, activating an internal hermetically sealed reed switch at a predetermined level. This contact-free magnetic operation ensures long mechanical life, high switching reliability, and maintenance-free performance.

The VSAN Miniature Float Level Switch operates on the Magnetic Reed Switch Principle.
A compact float containing a permanent magnet is installed on the guide stem of the level switch. As the liquid level rises or falls, the float moves vertically or horizontally with the liquid surface.
When the float reaches the preset switching position, the magnetic field activates the hermetically sealed reed switch located inside the stem. The reed switch changes its electrical contact state (Normally Open or Normally Closed), generating a switching signal.
This signal is transmitted to connected devices such as PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, pump controllers, relay panels, alarms, or solenoid valves, enabling automatic level control, pump operation, overflow prevention, or dry-run protection.
As the liquid level changes, the float moves away from the switching point, and the reed switch returns to its original position, allowing continuous and reliable level monitoring.
This simple non-contact magnetic operation ensures excellent repeatability, long service life, and maintenance-free performance.
